Will J6 Be Remembered More Like the Boston Massacre? :: 04/16/2022

I get so ticked off whenever our contemptible congresscritters or their praetorian propagandists in the press call J6 an "insurrection."  Did the world really witness a bunch of rowdy Americans try to overthrow the U.S. government on January 6, 2021?  Would some of the country's strongest defenders of the right to bear arms really show up for battle bearing none?  Did anybody in that crowd — many of whom were retirees welcomed into the Capitol Building by Capitol Police — actually believe that an "insurrection" was taking place?

Bill seeks to preserve gun rights for modern nomads :: 04/15/2022

I’ve known a few people who sold most of their stuff, bought an RV, and spend their time traveling the country. They established a P.O. box somewhere so they could get regular mail and hit the open road, circling back occasionally to pick up anything that might be there.

PA House Speaker looking into whether laws were broken for NBC's ghost gun story :: 04/15/2022

Any time the glib anti-freedom caucus gets a chance to hold up trophies in the way of menacing looking firearms, they will. Whether it’s Sleepy Joe holding up a pistol frame on the lawn of the White House (what’s the DC transfer laws?) or some other lawmaker holding up an AR-15 like they’re a Star Wars Tusken Raider wielding gaderffii sticks over their heads, indecipherable grunts and all, they love these theatrics.

When Doctors and Data Reveal That the Focus Should Be On People, Not Guns :: 04/15/2022

Too often we still hear that guns are the problem. For example, esteemed Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Tweet (“light footing” it around her responsibility for Chicago’s safe streets): “We have a common enemy: it’s guns & the violence they bring.”

After Kemp's signature Constitutional Carry now law in 25 states :: 04/13/2022

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp officially signed a Constitutional Carry bill into law on Tuesday, marking a major milestone in the efforts to ensure that law-abiding Americans can exercise their Second Amendment rights without first having to obtain permission from their state government. Fully half of the 50 states now have Constitutional or permitless carry laws on the books, with nearly a dozen states adopting the law in just the past two years.

Nebraska permitless carry bill fails after filibuster :: 04/13/2022

This has been a pretty great year for Constitutional Carry bills, with legislation signed into law in Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, and Alabama. There’s even a chance that Florida lawmakers will approve a permitless carry bill in its upcoming special session, but despite broad support in the Nebraska legislature, the Cornhusker State will not be joining the ranks of Constitutional Carry states this year. On Tuesday supporters fell two votes short of defeating a filibuster after first attempting to amend the bill to satisfy concerns of politicians and police in the state’s biggest city.

Support from lawmakers on pistol brace protection :: 04/13/2022

The ATF has not exactly made any friends as of late. Their latest 300+ page new “rules” on firearm frames and receivers has yet to fully circulate, in the sense of knowing exactly what’s in there. Regardless, the ATF and Biden-Harris administration has taken a stance of making their own laws, which is illegal. The branch and agency have gone rogue. In attempts to stave off further illegal executive branch rulemaking, Senator James Lankford from Oklahoma has introduced a bill to protect a commonly used firearm accessory, pistol braces.

New Gun Buyers Not Buying Gun Control :: 04/12/2022

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Rising crime rates continue to remind Americans that they are their own first responder when it comes to their personal safety. Police work hard to protect communities but can’t be at all places at all times. That reality gained newfound importance at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

PA in crosshairs over firearm background check delays :: 04/12/2022

I’ve always been fascinated by how we still have so-called “point of contact” states here in the US. The point of contact states have to do with when the NICS provisions of the Brady (aka Handgun Control Inc) Bill came into effect. States were able to maintain systems they may have had in place and or use their own systems to act as a liaison between the FBI and a respective FFL. In 2022, these types of systems are antiquated, redundant, and create more work, as well as issues. Of the 12 point of contact states, Pennsylvania is one of the surprising ones on the list, along with Florida, Tennessee, and Virginia. We expect states like Hawaii, California, New Jersey, etc. to be overly control freakish on this topic, but Pennsylvania? A state founded explicitly with freedom in mind?
