Illinois governor orders State Police to use more discretion in approving gun licenses :: 07/19/2022
I know, I know. The Supreme Court just said that discretionary policies like requiring people to show “good cause” or a “justifiable need” to carry a firearm in self-defense are unconstitutional. And yet, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker is empowering the State Police to more broadly use their discretion to deny FOID cards or concealed carry licenses when there are “clear and present danger” reports. .
Op-ed over mall shooting misses key points :: 07/19/2022
The Greenwood Park Mall shooting is one of those topics that we should be talking about for weeks or months to come. However, we won’t be. It’s entirely likely the media has said all they’re going to say on this one because the overall story undermines the preferred narrative.

During the recent attempted mass shooting at the Greenwood Park Mall in Indiana, a 22-year old man who was lawfully carrying a pistol stopped the killing. For this heroic action, he’s been called “good Samaritan” by local law enforcement. Even the owners of the mall, (who ban guns on their properties praised his actions. Why Does an Armed Citizen Stopping a Mass Shooter Upset So Many People? :: 07/18/2022
What happened yesterday at the Greenwood Park Mall in suburban Indianapolis was every gun control advocate’s worst nightmare. No, we’re not talking about the obvious horror of a crazed wacko walking into a mall with a rifle and indiscriminately opening fire on innocent people. We’re talking about the reason why the shooting and the casualty count wasn’t far worse than it was.

Firearms Policy Coalition provides legal ammunition for those applying for carry license in hostile lands :: 07/17/2022
I haven’t seen similar celebrations like these post NYSRPA v. Bruen rejoicings since the Ewoks tore up Endor, playing glockenspiels made of stormtrooper helmets, and danced around the un-environmentally friendly mostly plastic and electronics fueled funeral pyre. It did not take long for the jubilation to end for many of the oppressed, finding that they’re back in the bondage of so-called “gun control”. The assaults on liberties not only persisted, in many ways they were exacerbated by the high court telling New York “not in my house”, with the Empire State doubling and tripling down. Honestly, New York politicians, and the un-elected Governor who took over since disgraced Governor Nipple Rings resigned, are all disgusting. “Okay google…define filth.”

The 22-year old Indiana man who stopped a mass shooting at the Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana on Sunday evening is getting a lot of praise from local law enforcement, public officials, and even the mall’s management. U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- During the first 24 hours after the Associated Press posted a “style tip” to journalists about avoiding the terms “assault rifle” and “assault weapon,” a verbal brawl has erupted on social media that should be required reading for grassroots gun rights activists, firearms enthusiasts, gun prohibitionists and, yes, members of the working press, some of whom engaged in the digital fisticuffs.

Everytown files Federal Trade Commission complaint against Daniel Defense :: 07/16/2022
When you’ve got your own in-house law firm funded by your billionaire backer, its easy to waste time and effort on unserious efforts, which helps explain Everytown’s new complaint against Georgia gunmaker Daniel Defense accusing it of “deceptively marketing” firearms to teenagers through its advertising and brand placement in video games and movies. More fundamentally, however, the gun control group’s filing with the Federal Trade Commission is part of a broader strategy aimed at shutting down gun companies, and the complaint against Daniel Defense is only the latest in a string of similar filings against members of the firearms industry in recent months

Another Massachusetts group weighs in. Let’s get ready for some litigation? :: 07/15/2022
It’s only been a week since I’ve reported on Massachusetts, after a flurry of correspondence between the state and Gun Owners Action League (GOAL), things quieted down a bit. The spat began with the Attorney General and RINO Governor Baker digging their heels in on the opinion in NYSRPA v. Bruen. From there a series of letters, and pieces of guidance has bounced back and forth, echoing into cyberspace. Gun Owners Action League is not the only organization in the Bay State taking aim at how the executive branch may be handling the application process for licenses to carry. The Commonwealth Second Amendment (Comm2A) recently weighed in on the matter.
