According to a recent report from the Centers for Disease Control, the suicide rate among Americans of almost every race, age, and sex has risen between 1999 and 2014.  The data compiled by the CDC only cover trends by demographic factors, and the report itself doesn’t go into details about what motivated the persons to commit suicide or what methods they used.

The conventional thinking about police-involved shootings, and some scientific research, has been that black suspects are more likely to be shot than white suspects because of an implicit racial bias among police officers. But now a new study has found exactly the opposite: even with white officers who do have racial biases, officers are three times less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than unarmed white suspects.

Brad Pitt to Co-Chair Brady Campaign Gun Control Awards in Los Angeles :: 04/26/2016

The gala will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills.  The Brady Campaign is advertising the gun control gala as the “Bear Awards,” and lists Pitt and Adam McKay as co-chairs. The cheapest tickets are $500, although non-attendees are free to make donations for gun control in any amount.

Fast and Furious is Back- Holder lied and people died :: 04/25/2016

The Obama Administration’s gun-running operation called “Fast and Furious” is back in the news.  The Obama administration handed thousands of guns to Mexican drug gangs starting back in 2009.  Now, after years of delay, District Court Judge Amy Berman ordered the Department of Justice to produce the documents Congress requested.  The DOJ finally produced them, some 20 thousand pages in April 2016.
