Politicians say one thing and do another. They give us their best smile as they claim that up is down. A skeptical press is supposed to ask tough questions and see through the politician’s spin. Reporters are supposed to get at the truth even if it is uncomfortable. I suspect it is easier to make a politician uncomfortable than for reporters to question their own beliefs. Gun control legislation is a sad example where both the politicians and the media are spinning the truth. Unfortunately, we see that happen from coast to coast and in-between. Military Massacres Civilians In "Gun-Free" Myanmar :: 03/04/2021
At least 38 unarmed protesters in Myanmar were shot and killed by the military on Wednesday, as CNN declared that the country is now a “war zone.” I’d argue that a war actually involves two sides shooting at each other. What we’re witnessing in Myanmar at the moment is a massacre, because civilians aren’t shooting back. In fact, in Myanmar they’re not even allowed to possess a firearm.

And a Lucrative Industry.” And it advocates for disarming police, claiming that American officers kill civilians at higher rates than those in countries where law enforcement is unarmed.

It’s become impossible to ignore the fact that Americans of all races, colors, and creeds are embracing their Second Amendment right to own a firearm for self-defense, but it’s still surprising to see the Chicago Tribune give the issue the front-page treatment, as it did on Monday with a lengthy profile on the growing number of black gun owners in Chicago.
