Activist Demands 20-Year Ban On Gun Making :: 07/08/2021
The gun control lobby can’t get any of their bans and infringements through Congress at the moment, but that’s not stopping one anti-gun activist from calling for a 20-year ban on firearms manufacturing; an idea as unfeasible as it is unconstitutional.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has declared a state of “disaster emergency on gun violence” in the Empire State. The liberal governor, who was celebrated by liberal media for his heavy-handed approach to COVID, announced his plan for $138 million in new spending to combat gun violence. In unveiling his seven-point plan, Governor Cuomo borrowed from the rhetoric he and other Leftists used in announcing policies related to the COVID pandemic.
Op-ed: Gun control has failed New Mexicans :: 07/08/2021
Two years have now passed since the first of several hotly debated gun-control bills passed in Santa Fe. When these gun-control bills were passed, we were told by supporters that these laws were “proven” to reduce violent crime and homicides. But what has actually transpired since? Quite the opposite.

A federal judge ruled that the U.S. Air Force bears most of the responsibility for the 2017 mass shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, because it failed to enter the shooter’s criminal history into a federal background check database used for gun purchases.
Banning America's Rifle: An Assault on the Second Amendment? :: 07/07/2021
The AR-15 rifle has aptly been called “America’s Rifle.” It is the most popular rifle in the United States, owned and used by millions of law-abiding citizens. Does prohibiting it infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment?
Bloody 4th And Cherry Picking Data :: 07/07/2021
As the COVID-19 pandemic wanes, we’ve reported in the past the “uptick” in “mass shootings”. Any excuse in the book that can be grabbed, the anti freedom caucus will. Take for example the most recent holiday weekend. The news site Insider took the liberty to report statistics from the Gun Violence Archive and talk about how many “mass shootings” occurred over Independence Day weekend. Naturally, the pandemic coming to an end is pegged as one of the causal factors for the increase in violence.
Why Are Drivers Given More Freedom Than Gun Owners? :: 07/07/2021
I occasionally hear “reasonable” gun-control advocates arguing that they just want guns regulated the same as cars; they add that no one thinks car control is unreasonable—registration, driver’s licenses, and mandatory insurance.

President Joe Biden’s latest round of attacks on guns is helping to drive a historic sales surge that continues to leave store shelves bare of firearms and ammunition.
Cuomo Proclaims Gun Violence State of Emergency, Targets Firearm Industry :: 07/06/2021
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order on Tuesday declaring “gun violence” has created a state of emergency in the state, but it’s not the creation of an Office of Gun Violence Prevention or the establishment of summer jobs programs that should have gun owners concerned. No, the most substantive part of Cuomo’s plan isn’t actually getting a lot of attention in the state press, though it could have a catastrophic impact on the firearms industry.

Bill To Remove Short Barreled Shotguns From NFA :: 07/05/2021
On July 1, 2021 Representative Jeff Duncan from South Carolina introduced a bill to remove short barreled shotguns from the National Firearms Act. The intent of the bill is to remove the burdensome $200.00 tax and registration scheme required to own and possess such firearms. While we’re being attacked by the Biden-Harris administration and anti freedom caucus in the way of draconian policies being considered, we do have several lawmakers that aim to protect our civil rights. From Duncan’s press release:
Birthing Greatness: Why We Celebrate America :: 07/05/2021
Many millions of people hate what they think America is, but very few hate what she actually is. “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times,” famously wrote author G. Michael Hopf in Those Who Remain. It’s fashionable today to slam the United States, as people kneel during our Anthem but bow to China, as they call our system oppressive while enriching overseas tyrants (and themselves). Yet while America’s detractors call her many things and by her defenders are called many things, among them hateful and ungrateful, they are certainly also something else: weak.
Gun Data Shows ~ Guns Are Good for Society – Numbers on Violence from 2019 :: 07/05/2021
I want to put violence in perspective. Let’s start with a common set of facts before we argue about their significance. I saw an infographic about firearms from 2013 and I wanted to update it. 2019 is the last year where I could find complete data from both the US Department of Justice and the US Center for Disease Control. I want to put those facts into perspective so we see the real picture. This is what I found.
San Jose Officials: If You Don't Pay A Fee We Could Take Your Gun :: 07/05/2021
San Jose has decided they need to create some ridiculous obstacles to gun ownership, starting with gun liability insurance and going on to requiring a fee from everyone who owns a gun. In theory, this fee will force gun owners to pay for the destruction caused by gun violence.
A Day to Celebrate the American Promise :: 07/04/2021
July 4, 1776, is the birthdate of the United States of America. Now, more than ever, it should be celebrated for that, but also as something more: the greatest single day for human liberty in the history of the world.
Bill Aims To Encourage States To Hold Up Firearm Sales :: 07/04/2021
The magic wand of freedom-squishing legislation keeps swirling around the halls of congress. On June 30, 2021 Representative Madeleine Dean (PA-04), introduced H.R. 4246 the Background Check Point of Contact Act of 2021. While the text of the bill is not yet available, something that should be illegal, we can take the high points from Dean’s press release. The bill…
Media Malpractice in 2021 :: 07/04/2021
U.S.A.– -(AmmoLand.com)- We are living through several social experiments running at the same time. Unfortunately for us, the outcome is uncertain. We went from 3 TV channels and 4 radio stations to hundreds of media channels running 24 hours a day and seven days a week. In theory, the news media was supposed to inform us so we could be responsible members of a democracy. In fact, the media delivers click-bait sensationalism and 20+ minutes of commercials each hour. On top of that, we have a world of information in our pockets. That was supposed to leave us better informed. Instead, we’re fed corporate propaganda and told what we “need” to buy. I’ve watched the media create the false impression that gun owners in the United States are dangerous. Those media inconsistencies are easy to find.
