Stop Treating the Second Amendment as a Second-Class Right: Opinion :: 11/18/2021

Not all constitutional rights are treated quite the same. For decades, federal courts have largely ignored the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms—a protection explicitly guaranteed by the Constitution's text. The judiciary sides time and again with government officials who impose burdensome and often punitive restrictions on gun owners.

Slate Takes Issue With Armed Self-Defense :: 11/17/2021

The trial of Kyle Rittenhouse is, as of this writing, in the jury’s hands. However, the media has made it very clear where they stand on the issue. In their mind, he’s guilty and they will claim as much until their very last breath, just as they claim he didn’t act in self-defense for various reasons.

Report: Red Flag Laws Rarely Used In Cities :: 11/16/2021

While we are ostensibly one nation, we’re not all the same. Life in the Midwest isn’t like life in New Orleans which isn’t like life in the Big Apple. Different places have their own culture, their own style. Because of that, you can make different assumptions about people based on where they live.

Firearm ownership is a longstanding American tradition. You Don't Have To "Take A Beating" To Act In Self-Defense :: 11/16/2021

In their zeal to convict Kyle Rittenhouse on murder charges, prosecutors made a mess of Wisconsin self-defense laws, and many on the Left have embraced the misinformation. On today’s Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co, we’re going to do our best to set the record straight on the right of self-defense, starting with the claim by prosecutor James Kraus that “everyone takes a beating” now and then, and a mere beatdown doesn’t give you the right to fire your gun in self-defense.

Dangerous Cities, and Guns 2021 :: 11/15/2021

We’ve heard the advocates of gun-control say they haven’t done enough and we need even more gun-prohibition laws than we already have. They say that disarming honest citizens stops criminals from committing violent crimes. Those are bold claims, but that doesn’t make them true. Politicians lie to us all the time. I’ve looked at the record. I am not convinced that gun-prohibition works as advertised, and we have some tragic stories to consider as well. The closer I look the more I think that gun-control laws cost lives.

The Spirit of the Founders and Freedom From Big Tech Tyranny :: 11/15/2021

When Donald Trump announced that he would be launching an alternative to Big Tech — his Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which includes his Twitter/Facebook alternative TRUTH Social — he was echoing the spirit of the Founding Fathers. Indeed, what Donald Trump and others are doing now in setting up alternative media outlets can be seen as a microcosm of what the Founders did in writing the Declaration of Independence and then setting up a new government in the late 18th century.

Royal Alexander: The Second Amendment is what makes all the rest possible :: 11/13/2021

I always find it curious to see the lengths that gun control states are willing to go to limit the full reach of the Second Amendment, and how uninformed many state and federal officials are concerning the purpose of the Second Amendment: To allow citizens the ability to protect themselves from the government, and to allow citizens the opportunity to protect themselves when the government fails to protect them.
