SAN ANTONIO (WOAI/KABB) — A man is facing charges after trying to break into a home just north of Downtown.
The break-in happened just after midnight Monday at a home on Marshall Street near N. Flores Street.
Police said a man tried to break into a home through the back door. That's when the homeowner grabbed his gun and fired off a shot at the suspect.
The suspect wasn't hit, but the homeowner's dog got loose and bit the suspect on the ankle. The suspect was taken to the hospital in stable condition. He'll be facing attempted burglary charges.
The homeowner is not facing any charges.
