YORK, Pa. - UPDATE: A fatal shooting Wednesday morning in York was self-defense, according to officials with the district attorney's office.
Authorities said Friday that the victim, Christian Gutierrez-Rosado, broke into a home on the 700 block of West Princess Street and assaulted a resident.

The resident shot Gutierrez-Rosado once in the chest, killing him, according to investigators.
Officials said Gutierrez-Rosado had previously been charged with felony strangulation against one the residents and wasn't supposed to be at the property.
A joint investigation by police and the district attorney's office determined the shooting was justifiable homicide and the resident will not be charged, authorities said.

The victim was found around 9 a.m. inside a home on the 700 block of West Princess Street, according to police.
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Christian Gutierrez-Rosado. He was 23 years old. The York County Coroner's Office said he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
A suspect was taken into custody, police said.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
