BATESVILLE, Miss. - A Batesville store owner who had enough of people breaking into his store camped out and waited on the burglars.
When two broke into his store early Wednesday morning, he shot one of them as the burglary suspect reached for a gun.
Batesville Assistant Police Chief Kerry Pittman told FOX13 Ferris Cole, the owner of Cole's Sundry Grocery store, shot one of the burglars who was armed with a gun. He broke into the store through a vent-a-hood. Cole shot the teen in the ear.
Both burglars are 17 years old and both being charged with burglary and petit larceny.
