DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a shooting on the city's southwest side. According to police, a teen attempted to rob a 15-year-old and shot him in the process. The father then shot the teen gunman.
The incident happened Thursday evening in the 20400 block of Honorah.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 15-year-old attempted to rob another 15-year-old. The attempted robber then shot the 15-year-old victim.
The father of the victim, a 36-year-old man, then fatally shot the 15-year-old alleged robber.
The father is now being detained at the scene. His son was transported to a local hospital where his condition is unknown.
