In the last 2 weeks we have learned much more about the so called, “Inflation Reduction Act”. We have seen more and more lawlessness as “We the People” must deal with the fallout of politicians empowering criminals. We have also seen more of our fellow Americans empower themselves by purchasing firearms and obtaining licenses or permits to carry in record numbers as a direct result of the Supreme Court Bruen decision.
“We the People” are indeed stuck between a rock and a hard place as we must protect ourselves from criminals and a slew of elected officials that are seeking new and creative ways to restrict our rights and liberties. These new and creative ways are sometimes covert, overt, veiled, blatant, and coming from all angles. What makes this situation even harder to manage, the anti-liberty forces definitely have a monopoly when it comes to the dissemination of information. Pro-Liberty organizations, such as FOAC-ILLEA and other orgs, individuals, and even certain elected officials or “former office holders” are often shadow-banned or all out censored by the media or the “information distribution complex”. (Maybe that is what Eisenhower would have called it?)
I received an email blast from Senator Bob Casey about the “Inflation Reduction Act” on August 16th at 7:53AM. Usually the emails I get from Senator Casey are the same tired “thank you for contacting me about XXXX however, your opinion does not matter to me so I will vote how I want” emails. In this case, Senator Casey triumphantly said, “The Inflation Reduction Act will improve lives across the Commonwealth and the Nation.” He claimed that the Act will, Lower Prescription Drug Costs, Extend ACA Healthcare Tax Credits through 2025, puts the U.S. on track for climate goals, and reduces the deficit and create jobs. Wow, imagine a piece of legislation that does all that, what an amazing accomplishment! (I wish there was a font that could convey my sarcasm). His email blast was reassuring and showed that the Democrats were here to help keep me safe and healthy and keep me from going broke.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” -Joseph Goebbels
Ironically enough, nowhere in the email blast did Senator Casey link the actual text of the legislation. This seemed rather odd to me. Whereas in the past we needed to wait for the bill to become law to learn what is in it, now that this one is law, we just need to take their word on it as to what is in it and what it does. Perhaps Senator Casey is saving me time by just getting to the root and essence of the bill/law, or MAYBE he is only telling me part of the story? Maybe he is omitting details that I might find distasteful?
In 1973, Italian novelist/philosopher Umberto Eco wrote, “Today a country belongs to the person who controls communications.” Perhaps in 2022 his statement still holds some water.
This caused me to search around the interweb to find out what is actually in the legislation. I generally search legislation through the FOAC-ILLEA website or use Legiscan or go straight to the Senate or Congressional websites, but I thought I would do a google search for “Inflation Reduction Act”. Google is a very impartial entity designed to maximize American’s ability to find information… Right? (Insert sarcasm font here).
I found a press release (near the top of the search) from the White House, called “BY THE NUMBERS: The Inflation Reduction Act”. Again, according to this post, these elected officials fixed everything that is wrong with the economy and health care, and the environment. My goodness, how fortunate we are to be under the leadership of these brilliant legislative tacticians. (Insert sarcasm font here). But alas, the White House did not cite the actual text of the legislation either…. Interesting.
I looked at an article by Forbes called “The Inflation Reduction Act Is Now Law—Here’s What It Means For You”. Hokey Smokes! Forbes cited a one page summary of the legislation. This was much more than Bob Casey and the White House did. However, upon investigation of the hyperlink, I noticed that it was from democrats.senate.gov. So, I am guessing this was more of a propaganda piece rather than the actual text itself. Strangely enough, the one sheet did not provide a hyperlink to the actual text of the Bill/Law either. True propagandists are as careful with what they DON’T tell you as they are with what they DO. Strategic omissions are one way that those “in power” perpetuate their positive spin. What are they trying to hide? What are they NOT telling us?
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 CAN be seen and read entirely. The text is available to see if you hunt for it.
I am not a tax expert, healthcare expert, pharmaceutical expert, or a climate expert by any stretch of the imagination, however, I know as a businessman, and someone who has paid taxes my entire adult life, that after reading the text, I believe that this law is likely is going to put the screws to many businesses and probably many individuals. It will likely make a lot of big pharma companies bigger, and the climate details will likely make living more unaffordable to the average American. But, like I said, I do not claim to be an expert with these subjects, so perhaps I am wrong, and this law will do some good things. Because after all…. how fortunate we are to be under the leadership of these brilliant legislative tacticians. (Insert sarcasm font here).
Part 3 of Subsection A of this bill/law called “FUNDING THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE AND IMPROVING TAXPAYER COMPLIANCE” is quite interesting. The devil is in the details and strangely enough, nowhere did I see anything about these detail in the Senator Casey email or the White House statement.
I find it very inconsistent that many of the same people (mostly Democrats) who were crying to defund “the police” a few years ago, are now so eager to up the funding to the enforcement arm of the revenue service, including the hiring of a reported 87,000 more “agents”.
Now to be fair there have been some clarifications on this as some folks on the internet were reporting that the consequence of this law will be 87,000 armed IRS agents with AR15’s. This, according to a Reuters fact check is incorrect, and I feel somewhat compelled to agree with Reuter’s assessment, however, I am cautious… VERY CAUTIOUS. According to the Reuters article, the IRS Criminal Investigations Department, will (due to several factors) only gain between 150-200 agents. The explanation that Reuters offers is logical, however, as I said, I am cautious.
If I am wrong, and thousands of armed IRS agents are in our future, perhaps the government can save money by repurposing confiscated civilian owned AR-15’s? Who knows what the elected class has in store for their constituents. I wouldn’t put it past Bob Casey… would you put it past YOUR elected representatives? You know about that whole “death and taxes” thing, perhaps in the future the IRS can offer taxes AND death to those that do not “comply”.
It is very hard to navigate the muck of half-truth and disinformation from the very sources we have been conditioned to trust for the last 30-40 years. I, like many of my fellow Americans, are not very game to trust what the government and the media tells us.
“This is Louisiana, chief! I mean, how do you know who your daddy is? Because your mama told you so?” -Michael Rooker playing Bill Broussard in Oliver Stone’s JFK 1991
However, one fact is indisputable. We are seeing that we have a lot of people in office who are not only NOT upholding and defending the Constitution, but there are also some who are actively trying to destroy it and the Liberties and processes that it protects. Many of them are not shy about it. They are embolden by their contempt for traditional American values, our founding principles, and the INDIVIDUAL American’s rights and Liberties.
We have an opportunity in November to right the ship. We MUST vote for candidates who will empower the citizens, not restrict the citizens. We need to elect candidates who will fight for YOUR rights rather than fight for the rights of criminals. We need to vote for candidates who will protect YOU from elected officials, not protect elected officials from you.
An armed and educated citizenry is the true check and balance in our constitutional republic and the ultimate homeland security. YOU are an American and YOU hold the power. Vote accordingly and spread the word!

S&W is the current pitiable target of sleazy Congressional Bolsheviks who just can’t wait to prohibit (for everyone but themselves) the private ownership by American citizens of any kind of gun.
Since S&W can’t be faulted for product quality (which is excellent), nor for dishonest business practices, since S&W is a virtuous and unblemished American manufacturer and employer, seedy left-wing politicians can only criticize them for honestly marketing their wares, and for the fact that S&W’s CEO, Mark Smith, refuses to be publicly pilloried.
S&W, and all other American gun manufacturers, are being accused by these arrogant Marxists of being responsible for “gun-violence” in America. It’s much like accusing Ford of being responsible for drunk driving!
We learn today that S&W’s advertising is “unfair, deceptive, and overly-geared toward young males”
Apparently, “young males” have no rights, and it’s “unfair” and “deceptive” for S&W to acknowledge that they even exist.
Apparently, any marketing strategy that so much as mentions our Constitution’s Second Amendment is “hate speech” and is designed to promote “white supremacy!”
Intelligent Americans know it’s Democrat/Communists who are solely responsible for the current crime wave!
Innocent Americans are buying “weapons of war,” because they’re scared to death of violent criminals, violent criminals who are brazenly supported, empowered, enfranchised, and encouraged by these same dishonest politicians who are now so anxious to shift the blame onto innocent American capitalists.
“You need to have the capacity for danger. You need to be ‘dangerous.’ Yet, you need to learn how to not use it except when necessary. And, that is not the same thing as being harmless. Harmlessness is no virtue. It’s like a rabbit. There’s nothing virtuous about harmlessness. It just means you’re ineffectual and useless.” -Jordan Peterson

Gunshots rang out at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday near the bar Finn McCools as late-night revelers lined the sidewalks of Carson Street. Officers responded to 15th Street and found two gunshot victims, one of them being Young, according to his arrest report.
As the victim was walking away, surveillance video obtained by KDKA-TV appears to show Young firing shots and the victim falling to the ground. A friend of that victim, described in the affidavit as “Victim 2,” shoots back, hitting Young multiple times, according to the affidavit. That friend can later be seen dragging his friend to safety.
When police arrived at the scene, they detained “Victim 2,” who had stashed his gun and that of the other victim in a nearby alley. But the guns were registered, and he showed police his permit to carry a concealed weapon. Neither man will apparently face charges, as police say Young was the aggressor and “Victim 2” acted in self-defense…

The woman who fired a gunshot in a Des Moines Hy-Vee on Sunday morning may not face criminal charges.

“Iowa law allows for the use of reasonable force to stop someone from hurting you, or someone else, and that includes deadly force under certain circumstances,” said Katherine Sears, a criminal defense attorney.
She said it’s unlikely the woman who fired the gun will be charged for injuring the other person as well. Sears said that’s because a state statute says a person who reasonably uses authorized force is immune from criminal or civil liability caused during the force.

Firearm statistics expert John R. Lott Jr. recently exposed the FBI’s gross underestimation of the number of times armed citizens have stopped a mass shooting event and suggested that the agency is purposefully muffing the numbers for political reasons.
In his review of the FBI data published by Real Clear Investigations, Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, attributed the discrepancies to errors on the FBI’s part, including misidentifying and overlooking incidents.
The FBI insists that only 4.4 percent of active shooter incidents between 2014 and 2021 were interrupted or stopped by an armed citizen. But according to Lott, the number is actually 14.6 percent.
The FBI defines an active shooter as “an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area.” The bureau excludes incidents it deems “related to other criminal activity, such as a robbery or fighting over drug turf,” according to Lott.
Lott notes that the FBI’s narrow criteria necessarily eliminate many incidents that should be included.
For instance, between 2014 and 2021, the bureau counted 252 active shooter incidents, but Lott found 281. The FBI reported only 11 shootings stopped by an armed citizen, while Lott found 41.
Lott finds the discrepancies glaring. As do others.
“So much of our public understanding of this issue is malformed by this single agency,” said Theo Wold, former acting assistant U.S. attorney general, according to Lott’s report.
“When the bureau gets it so systematically — and persistently — wrong, the cascading effect is incredibly deleterious. The FBI exerts considerable influence over state and local law enforcement and policymakers at all levels of government.”
“Although collecting such data is fraught with challenges,” Lott wrote, “some see a pattern of distortion in the FBI numbers because the numbers almost exclusively go one way, minimizing the life-saving actions of armed citizens.”
Wold and Lott are right. When the FBI purposely lowballs statistics like this, the left uses the fake numbers in a direct attack on our Second Amendment rights.
Indeed, the media sits like a vulture just waiting for data that can be used to destroy the “good guy with a gun” narrative. Lott pointed out that The Washington Post, The Associated Press and The New York Times went all-in to blast the pro-gun position after armed citizen Elisjsha Dicken ended a mall shooting in Greenwood, Indiana, in July.
After the shooting, Indiana University law professor Jody Madeira told the Post that armed citizens are “particularly dangerous.” Madeira added, “You’ll get this idea that these people are needed out there to help protect citizens, when in reality that’s the job of the police.”
Unfortunately, the FBI isn’t merely fudging data. It is also putting Americans in danger. By putting out misleading statistics that are used to discount the benefits of a legally armed citizenry, the FBI is necessarily putting lives at risk.
After all, if the FBI’s data is successfully used to thwart gun ownership, mass shooters will be given a free hand to take out as many people as they can until police intercede.
The FBI should be faithfully serving Americans, not cooking its books to help liberals try to take guns away from legally armed citizens.

FOAC-ILLEA needs help from people like you that get things done and fight. We appreciate and need financial donations, but when a member puts forth a physical effort, it can be worth so much more.
Some folks can send emails, some can make calls, some can rally others to the cause, some can raise money, some can donate money, some can organize bodies to be at certain places at certain times, some can visit legislators, some can consult, some can carry out, but if you are willing to get some skin in the game, we can accomplish so much more for the cause of Liberty if we work together.
If all of us do SOME, we can acomlish so much more than if some of us do ALL.
Stay Armed and Be Well Regulated!
Yours in Liberty,
Klint Macro
2nd VP FOAC-ILLEA
