The FOAC-ILLEA Newsletter and overall information delivery system is evolving. This edition will be a bit different.
First, it will be shorter and there will be more links to articles and blog posts on the FOAC-ILLEA Website. The newsletter will continue to evolve as future editions will look different and be less linear, but that is change yet to come.

FOAC-ILLEA’s goal is to educate our fellow Pennsylvanians to freely exercise their rights! We are helping to educate others to keep and bear arms and become their own family first responders. We are the “go to” organization for elected officials to educate themselves on 2A issues. We are the organization that puts the fear into hearts of the tyrant elected class because we educate and empower ALL Pennsylvanians to freely exercise their right to bear arm to protect themselves and those that they love.
ONLY tyrants fear an educated and armed citizenry!
FOAC-ILLEA is fighting tyrants at city hall, in the courts, and at the state capital. We will first try and educate elected officials before they become tyrants, but if they choose to ignore their oath to uphold the Constitutions of the US and Pennsylvania, we will hold them accountable and let YOU know about it!
When the elected class infringes upon good people, they empower criminals. We are Pennsylvania’s premier 2A-pro-gun and anti-crime organization.

The 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution:
The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.

As many of you know, recently FOAC-ILLEA has taken a role with several sportsmen associations in petitioning the Pennsylvania Game Commission to legalize semi-automatic centerfire rifles for big game hunting. There are various reasons why this needs to happen, but it is controversial, and it is not necessarily heavily supported among many hunters in the Commonwealth. I received an email from a sportsman who wanted to disagree, stating things like it “removes skill” somehow and that “lunatics” want to use ARs in hunting. He went on to say he doesn’t want them in Pennsylvania and if you “need” one to hunt that means you “can’t hunt”.
Why would our organization take the stance that we support semi-auto centerfire for hunting big game when the topic is hunting and so divisive? The answer is simple. Freedom. In my response to the author of the email, I list numerous reasons why a hunter in Pennsylvania might choose to exercise their 2nd Amendment right to choose such a weapon to hunt deer or other large game. I’m attaching a link to my blog that hosts the response to one such writer for all of you to read, should you desire to see my points. But simply put, it’s the freedom we each have as an American citizen to choose the weapon we want, as provided for by our Constitutions.
This isn’t about the myth of chaos in the woods, or a bloodbath brought on by rapid fire hunters trying to cut down trees to kill a buck. This is about reality, and the reality is 48 states in this great nation allow it, and have for decades, without a single such incident reported anywhere. It’s about the reality of our natural right to provide for our families and hunt the very sustenance that nature has provided for our taking from the beginning of time. It’s about the reality that nobody, not the author, and not you or I have the right to tell another good citizen of this great Commonwealth what rifle is best for her or him to hunt with. Can you imagine if the government came to you and stated you are not permitted to hunt with a bow, but instead must use a knife or spear? This is no different.
This is why FOAC-ILLEA is engaged in this topic and will be until it is rectified. The first shot of a hunt is about skill whether it be from a bolt-action, lever-action, semi-auto, bow, crossbow, or spear. This does no more to take skill out of the hunt than the development of soft-tip ammunition or lighter weight rifle stocks. It’s about freedom of choice. It’s about the 2nd Amendment. And it’s about ALL of US whether we hunt or not. Freedom isn’t free, and sometimes you must stand and fight for the masses, regardless of your own preferences. Hunt with your bolt-action if you wish but stand for your fellow sportsman that wants to choose. That is what’s right. And that is exactly what FOAC-ILLEA does.

The Biden administration is forcing the federal agency charged with overseeing the strictly-regulated firearm industry to tighten a vice grip on private gun owners, claiming if they privately sell guns and offer to sell more, they’re “engaged in the business.” It’s the latest salvo from President Joe Biden, who declared from the debate stage in 2019 that the firearm industry is “the enemy.” Now, as the ATF is snuffing out firearm retailers at a record pace due to an unrelenting attack of historically-high firearm license revocations under the guise of its “zero-tolerance” policy, the administration has unilaterally proposed an expansion of the definition of who is required to obtain a dealer’s license and therefore run a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) verification to transfer a firearm. Recall, failing to obtain a dealer’s license when required by law is a crime. Read Larry Keane’s blog.

It should come as no surprise to the aware citizen that declaring “public health emergencies” has become the latest way for elected officials to trample our rights.
This week, Governor Michelle Grisham of New Mexico has declared “gun violence” to be a “public health emergency.” Part of her declaration is to ban open carry and concealed carry of firearms for the next thirty days. She has said that she will reevaluate after thirty days, and that she may even extend the timeframe.

There was NO sound of traffic on LaBrea Ave in Hollywood, CA. The Streets were quiet as ALL business halted. You could hear the sound of birds in the trees, not something commonly heard over the traffic of a busy city. The sky was blue and sunny, just like it was the previous morning before the first plane hit, however the air felt different.

In early 2020, millions of Americans began to buy firearms in record numbers. Many of these Americans were seeking out quality instruction but because of the government overreach and lockdowns, class offerings were not meeting the demand for training. In an effort to help meet this demand, FOAC produced this video for new gun owners who might only be able to practice at home with a dry gun. Keep in mind, we had not yet split and formed ILLEA, so the website listed is from the PAC. I was a 2nd VP, a bit thinner, less grey, and did not yet have “the lasik”, but the video is still very relevant and valuable. Please enjoy it and share it with a friend!

I came upon this cartoon on social media. I do not know who created it, so unfortunately, I cannot credit them, which is a shame, because the cartoon is brilliant!
As I travel the northeast especially in Pennsylvania, I speak to people who don’t think the tyrants are after “them”. They say that because they don’t carry, or they don’t own modern sporting rifles, they aren’t concerned with the actions of gun grabbing tyrants in the government.
Don’t be so sure they aren’t coming for you!
If you are a hunter, unless you borrow a firearm to hunt, you are a gun owner first!
If you don’t carry concealed, but have a firearm at home, you are still a gun owner!
If you don’t own an AR15 but you own anything with a trigger, you are a gun owner!
The elected class-gun grabbing-tyrants that have infiltrated our government do not care what gun you own… you are a gun owner. You are their target!

FOAC-ILLEA is continuing to fight for the hearts and minds of our fellow Pennsylvanians to promote individual liberties and freedoms. We are steadfast and resolute and dedicated to protecting our Constitution and advancing the cause of the 2nd Amendment and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution.
FOAC-ILLEA’s educational efforts are expanding across the Commonwealth. FOAC-ILLEA volunteers are teaching more concealed carry classes each month and additional virtual education events are forthcoming.
FOAC-ILLEA is continuing to fight in the courts. Whether this means new litigation to challenge local tyrants, fight the bureaucrats that make it harder for Pennsylvanians to exercise their most basic rights, or the funding of amicus briefs to support others who are already involved in court battles, we are actively helping to establish case law that will help advance the cause of liberty.
FOAC-ILLEA volunteers research proposed legislation, consult with experts, and offer advice to elected officials about legislation as well as educate the public on the strength or folly of legislation that could have lasting positive or negative effects upon our liberty and the liberty of our children.
