A suspected burglar was arrested after his alleged victim caught him in the act and held him there with a shotgun on Wednesday night, according to Napa Police.
Officers arrived at the scene of an in-progress burglary at a home on the 2100 block of Penny Lane to find that the suspect was already being detained by the resident.
The resident pulled out their 12-gauge shotgun when the suspect, identified as Daniel Raymond Hendricks, 26, of Napa, entered the home, police said.
Hendricks, who was wearing a bandana and had a folding knife, told the resident that he was being chased, police said. When police arrived, Hendricks admitted that he was paranoid and high on methamphetamine, police said.
