A Phoenix, AZ Mexican restaurant employee shot a man who had just committed an armed robbery in the restaurant Tuesday night, authorities said.
Police confirmed the man who was shot has since died.
Cesar Garcia Bermudez, 35, was taken to a hospital after being shot outside of Taco Mich, near 27th Avenue and Camelback Road, said Sgt. Vince Lewis, a Phoenix police spokesman.
An employee admitted to shooting Bermudez after he allegedly committed an armed robbery of that business, Lewis said.
The shooter was questioned by police and later released. However, police are continuing to investigate the incident, according to Lewis.
Police believe there were more witnesses to the incident and urge anyone with information to contact the Phoenix Police Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-614.
